Our story

Write. Share. Improve together.

We're a husband and wife team, and this is how Write Bubble came to be.

It started with a book

Earlier this year my wife decided to do something she had always wanted to do, she started writing her first book. She had the story, the dedication, and no shortage of enthusiasm.

What she didn't have was a good way to manage any of it. Chapters spread across Word documents, Google Docs, and Pages. Sharing early drafts over email and then waiting. Chasing feedback that arrived in dribs and drabs, in different formats, with no easy way to bring it all together.

And then there was the question of who to trust with something so personal and unfinished. Sharing an early manuscript feels vulnerable. You want feedback from people who will take it seriously and respect that what they're reading isn't ready for the world yet.

This shouldn't be this hard

She tried what most writers try. It was messy, slow, and at times really disheartening. Not because people weren't trying to help, but because the tools just weren't built for this.

I've worked in technology my whole career. I'm a builder by nature. And the more I watched her navigate all of this, the more I kept thinking the same thing — this shouldn't be this hard.

So we decided to build what we wished had existed.

What we're trying to do

Write Bubble is our attempt to create the platform we wished had existed from the start. A private space where writers can share their work without it feeling exposed. Where the feedback they get is structured and specific, not just "I really liked it" from someone who didn't want to hurt their feelings. Where finding a reviewer you can actually trust isn't a lucky accident.

And we wanted to build something that works for reviewers too, not just writers. If you're giving up your time to read someone's manuscript and give honest feedback, you deserve more than a thank you. On Write Bubble, reviewers build a real profile and earn ratings over time. The best ones rise to the top. It should feel like something worth doing, because it is.

Where we are right now

We're going to be honest — Write Bubble is still early. We're learning as we go, and we're genuinely relying on the people using it to tell us what's working and what isn't. Every update we've shipped so far has come from someone taking the time to give us real feedback, and that's not going to change.

We're also thinking carefully about how AI fits into this. AI won't write your book for you on Write Bubble. It won't replace the voice you're trying to find or the story only you can tell. What it might do is help you spot patterns in your feedback, or help a reviewer put into words something they felt but struggled to articulate. Supporting the process, not shortcutting it.

Why we're asking you to trust us

We know what it feels like to put something personal out into the world before it's ready. That's exactly what we're doing with Write Bubble. This is our early draft too.

We're not a big company. We don't have investors pushing us to grow at all costs. We're two people who care about this problem because we've lived it. Write Bubble is our latest product, built and operated by our small independent technology company Skill Bubble Limited.

If you're a writer looking for a better way to get feedback, or a reader who wants to help someone improve their work, we'd love for you to try Write Bubble. And if something isn't working, tell us. We're listening.
