1. Who we are

Write Bubble is operated by Skill Bubble Ltd. Our service is available at writebubble.co.uk. You can contact us at hello@writebubble.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account data: email address, name (optional), account type (writer or reviewer).
• Manuscript content: chapters, paragraph variations, and version history that you upload.
• Review data: comments, ratings, and feedback submitted by reviewers.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and error logs — collected to improve the service.
• Payment data: billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store card details; Stripe processes and stores payment information under their own privacy policy.
• Push notification tokens: if you opt in to push notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Write Bubble service.
• To send transactional emails (account verification, invitation links, password reset) via Amazon SES.
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To deliver push notifications you have opted in to.
• To provide writing craft tools (Writer Pro only) — your content is sent to AWS Bedrock for processing and is not retained by AWS for model training.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure, database, authentication, AI features.
• Stripe — payment processing.

Manuscript content is shared with reviewers only when you explicitly invite them via an invitation link.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data and manuscript content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@writebubble.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner shown on first visit.

8. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito. We follow AWS security best practices and review our security posture regularly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
