Terms of Service

1. About Write Bubble

Write Bubble is a private platform that connects writers with reviewers. Writers share manuscript chapters; reviewers provide structured feedback. These terms govern your use of the service at writebubble.co.uk.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Writer accounts

Writer accounts require a paid subscription (£1.99/month for Writer, £4.99/month for Writer Pro). Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

4. Reviewer accounts

Reviewer accounts are free. Reviewers may only access chapters that a writer has explicitly shared with them via an invitation link.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of any manuscript content you upload. By uploading content you grant Write Bubble a limited licence to store and display it to users you have explicitly invited. We do not use your manuscript content to train AI models or share it with third parties.

Write Bubble does not claim any intellectual property rights over your manuscripts, chapters, or creative work. Your content remains yours at all times.

6. Intellectual property and confidentiality

All manuscript content shared on Write Bubble is the intellectual property of the writer who uploaded it. By accessing shared content as a reviewer, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The manuscript content is confidential and shared solely for the purpose of providing feedback.
• You will not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, or create derivative works from any manuscript content you access.
• You will not use ideas, plots, characters, dialogue, or any creative elements from manuscripts you review in your own work or share them with third parties.
• Your access to manuscript content is limited to the specific chapters shared with you and may be revoked at any time by the writer.

Violation of these obligations may result in immediate account termination and may expose you to legal liability under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

7. Plagiarism and content misuse

Write Bubble takes plagiarism and content misuse seriously. If a writer believes their work has been copied, reproduced, or misused by a reviewer or any other user, they may report the issue to us at hello@writebubble.com.

Upon receiving a report, we will investigate and may take action including but not limited to: suspending or terminating the accused user's account, preserving evidence for legal proceedings, and cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.

Write Bubble is a platform that facilitates the sharing of content between users. While we enforce these terms and take reports seriously, we cannot guarantee that no misuse will ever occur. Writers share content at their own discretion and are encouraged to register their copyright where appropriate.

8. Reviewer feedback

Feedback and comments submitted by reviewers are visible to the writer who invited them. Reviewers are responsible for ensuring their feedback is constructive and does not contain unlawful content.

By submitting feedback, reviewers grant the writer a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use that feedback to improve their manuscript. Reviewers retain no rights over the writer's work as a result of providing feedback.

9. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Write Bubble to:

• Upload or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Copy, reproduce, or plagiarise manuscript content shared with you by another user.
• Share invitation links or manuscript content with unauthorised third parties.
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or access content not explicitly shared with you.
• Use the platform to harass, intimidate, or abuse other users.

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that breach these rules without notice.

10. Writing craft tools

Writer Pro accounts include writing craft tools powered by AWS Bedrock. Suggestions are provided as-is and do not constitute professional editorial advice. You are responsible for reviewing and approving any suggested content before publishing. Your content is processed on-demand only and is not used for model training.

11. Service availability

We aim to keep Write Bubble available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Write Bubble is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. This includes but is not limited to any loss arising from the unauthorised use of your content by another user.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of Write Bubble after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
