Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about privacy, security, and how Write Bubble works.

Yes. Write Bubble is a private, invite-only platform. Your work is never publicly visible. Only reviewers you explicitly invite by email can see the chapters you share with them — and they can only see what you choose to share, not your entire book.

No. There is no public feed, no discovery page, and no way for anyone to browse manuscripts. Your work is only accessible to people you personally invite.

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use AWS infrastructure with industry-standard security practices. Your manuscripts are stored securely and are never accessible to other users without your explicit permission.

No. Your content is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone else's. The optional writing craft tools (Writer Pro) process your text on-demand only, and nothing is stored or used for training purposes.

We do not read your manuscripts. Access to production data is restricted to essential infrastructure maintenance only, and all access is logged and audited.

Absolutely. You retain full intellectual property rights to everything you write on Write Bubble. We never claim any ownership, licence, or rights over your content. You can delete your work at any time.

All reviewers agree to strict confidentiality terms when they accept a review invitation. Copying, reproducing, distributing, or using your ideas is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

We maintain a complete audit trail — every version is timestamped and linked to the person it was shared with. If someone copies your work and you discover it, you have clear proof of prior creation on the platform. Access is invite-only and can be revoked at any time, and we use "revoke" rather than "delete" specifically so the audit trail stays intact. No platform can technically prevent someone from copying text they've been given access to, but we make sure the evidence is always there.

Every version you save is timestamped automatically. While this isn't a formal copyright registration, it does create a verifiable record of when your work existed on the platform. For formal protection, we recommend registering with your country's copyright office.

When you delete your account, all your manuscripts, chapters, versions, and associated data are permanently removed from our systems. Reviewers will no longer have access to any of your shared content.

Reviewers can leave inline comments on specific text selections, paragraph-level comments, and chapter-level feedback. Each comment is categorised — grammar, plot, style, question, or praise — so writers can filter and prioritise feedback easily.

No. Each reviewer has their own private space. They cannot see other reviewers' comments, and they don't know who else has been invited to review. This ensures honest, unbiased feedback.

Structured feedback forms are part of our roadmap. Currently, reviewers use categorised inline and paragraph comments. Soon, writers will be able to set up custom forms with specific questions (e.g. "Did the pacing feel right in this chapter?") and rating scales.

After a reviewer completes their feedback, the writer rates them on helpfulness, specificity, clarity, and usefulness (1–5 each). These ratings build the reviewer's reputation over time, helping writers find the best reviewers for their work.

Yes. You can view all comments in your review dashboard, filter by reviewer or category, and respond directly. This creates a conversation around your work without the noise of a social platform.

Your review dashboard shows all comments across your manuscript. You can filter by reviewer, comment type, or chapter — making it easy to focus on specific feedback. Comments appear inline alongside your text so you always see them in context. Watch the interactive demo →

Yes. Every time you save, a new version is created automatically. You can invite reviewers at any point — they'll see the version that was current when you shared it. You can also re-invite reviewers after revisions to get feedback on your updated draft.

Yes. You have full control over what you share. When inviting a reviewer, you select the specific chapters they can access. They won't see your full book — only what you choose to show them.

There are no word limits on chapters and no limits on the number of chapters per book. Writer accounts can create unlimited books. We want you to write freely without worrying about hitting a ceiling.

Yes. You can import PDF and DOCX files directly into Write Bubble. The content is converted into chapters that you can then edit, organise, and share with reviewers.

Your work is yours. You can copy your content at any time. We're also working on dedicated export options for common formats.

Reviewing is always free — no limits, no trial period. During early access, all writer features are also free. When paid plans launch, early access users will receive a discount.

Writer plans will include unlimited books, document import, reviewer management, and version history. Writer Pro adds writing craft tools (vocabulary explorer, alternative phrasing suggestions, chapter quality ratings). Reviewing will always remain free.

Yes. There are no contracts or commitments. You can cancel your subscription at any time and continue using the platform until the end of your billing period. Your manuscripts remain accessible.

You can delete your account from your profile settings. This permanently removes all your data including manuscripts, comments, and reviewer history. This action cannot be undone.
